Engagements, engagements, oh so many engagement session. Which I cannot complain because they are so great. Just like each wedding is completely different, EVERY engagement session is different in their own special way. For Christine and Anthony's session we met at Sharon Woods Park, Columbus Ohio. Like I had said...engagement sessions are different and this is a perfect example. Our first engagement session of the season was at the same exact park only a month or less before this one and they really were so perfectly different! I loved them both and they turned out fantastically.
Christine and Anthony came walking up to us wearing earthier tones and because of the month different the trees were turning more than they had from the last session. I loved the purple and green they chose! They really popped against the blue of the water and yellow in the background from the trees. I loved it! This next photo is literally one of my favorites from the whole session (nailed it Elle).
They really were just the sweetest couple and the just enjoy being with one another. You can see the joy and giggles they share. For their session we started by the water because like I had said before their colors really popped. They decided to have two outfits, this was their formal-dressier choice (it's as if they had read my blog about What to Wear: ENGAGEMENTS).
ENGAGEMENT TIP: This may seem silly but for some girls it matters and why not. GET A MANICURE :) Not only is it a great way to just get pampered but we do detailed ring shots and pictures with your hands in them...I know crazy right! But in all seriousness it just a little detail that is sometimes forgotten.
ENGAGEMENT TIP: This is maybe more of a thought/suggestion than a tip but so many of our brides have gotten a blow out or just gone to the salon for their own pampering day right before the session and then they feel great in front of the camera.
ENGAGEMENT TIP: (Final one in this list) Many brides will even schedule their bridal makeup trial before their session because then they are all done up beautifully for their session.
After being by the water for awhile Christine and Anthony did a quick change and we headed to the field on the other side of the park. Another great color choice for them (Navy and White). I cannot get over their super fun personalities. While the team were taking these photos I was sitting on the ground writing their wedding date on a cute little pumpkin they had brought with. (I learned I should always keep a Sharpie in my camera bag for instances just like these)
See!!! What a cute little pumpkin. We decided to put the ring on the pumpkin just in case people got the wrong idea and thought we maybe shooting a baby announcement. I made that mistake once when I made a heart with my fingers (at a Wedding Expo) by my stomach...Needless to say I got hundreds of like (not because I am stinking adorable but because they thought I was pregnant). I have learned my lesson...thus, the ring. We didn't want any grandmothers having heart attacks.
The sun began to set and that's when we brought out the flashes for a more dramatic look. I loved these photos!
These photos were so fun to try out! I was crouched behind them with the flash trying to get it to stay put while Elle and Daniel were lying on the ground shooting these. I finally got the flash to stay with a rock (I had to have it angles) so then I let them have their own private moment (well as private as possible with three people snapping their photos).
All and all I cannot wait for your wedding in June! Ahhhh! It's going to be too fun. Congrats to you both.
