So whether or not you all know this, Brett and Elle have four kids: Righteousness (14), Shane (11), Kingston (6), and Maddyx (4). That's a lot of kids in my book...Daniel and I are only planning on being a one kid kind of household. (AND WE ARE NOT TRYING FOR ABOUT 4 MORE YEARS OR SO) But, with that being said, we occasionally take one or two of their kids at a time to come hang out at our house. We have a spare room and they can pretend they are an only child for a day or two...with Daniel and I constantly being reminded why we only want ONE KID.
Anyways, it was Kikee's turn this week! In my opinion Kikee is the closest kid of theirs that could seriously pass as being Daniel and my own. She is considered the most HIPSTER out of all the four. If you don't know Maddy she is a straight Diva Princess. But Kikee is pretty much my twin when it comes to style. So, Daniel and I picked Kikee up after school and packed her bag. If you can't tell...I picked out her outfit. She is always ready and willing to let me because we dress so much alike...we even own some of the same cloths.
We headed to Fox in the Snow...and yes, it was closed. They close at 5 pm everyday. Which is inconvenient but we made do with the awesome walls surrounding the location and empty parking lot.
Kikee is the type of kid that EVERYONE loves...and I mean everyone. Not only that but everyone knows Kikee. If you take her to school teachers and kids alike want to say hi to her. She is everyones best friend. If you'll notice, Kikee even let us tattoo her body (with temporary tattoos of course). Pretty sure she picked a sparrow, kissy lips, a cupcake with a face, a tropical flower, and love on her neck. All-in-all some pretty sweet ideas if you ask me...but I'm also the clip art queen when it comes to tatts.
All the while I am telling Kikee to be cool...This is what you get from a 6 year old. Honestly, I love it!!!
Kikee looks pretty sweet in front of a brick wall!! Check her out being an awesome model. Kikee is they type of model where you tell her to do something and she will do a pretty darn good job trying to give you what you want while still having some fun...Maddy on the other hand is a completely different story...she will be in another blog at another time.
We figured we would do the hipster thing and take photos in front of the cafe with the famous fox. (they now have another one in the back of the building on a blue wall if you want to mix it up sometime)
Once I jump into the photos Kikee starts to act like a complete goofball. She likes having people in the photos with her.
Now comes my turn...like I've said a million times before I NEED A TON OF DIRECTION. It's way easier for me to be doing something. An action...holding my collar/hat...really anything to keep my mind off the fact that I am in fact being photographed.
Daniel looks real good. Check this kid out. Thank you Fox in the Snow for having a million walls in all different colors all around your building. We were technically using this outing as a test for our engagement session Saturday. We were not let down. Amy and Ryan ended up loving our location choice and it was great to have a new backdrop for an engagement shoot!!!
Once we were done shooting at Fox in the Snow...which come on they were closed. We ended up deciding to head to the North Market. Kikee LOVED it. She kept running around and looking at everything. Every time I go to The North Market I get pad Thai from Nida's Sushi + Thai and Daniel tends to get India food. Kikee decided she only wanted Jeni's Ice Cream.
It was soon time to say good night to one of my favorite places in Columbus and drive the hour home. Before our shoot on Saturday we decided to do some exploring around Circleville. So stay tuned for another adventure with Kikee.
