Kaitlin and Tony decided to shoot in The OSU Stadium for their engagement session. Now, we have shot in the stadium before but they added a fun bonus and actually paid for us to be on the field. I seriously felt like a super-star!! We got to walk out onto the field and I was FREAKING out!!! I just couldn't help it...it was completely empty except for us.
Now Brett wasn't able to make this shoot because he was on a trip so we brought a new member on...VIVIEN! She is actually one of our 2016 brides and a wiz when it comes to video. She was there to capture some behind the scene video and have a fun trial run with us. Turns out she's a perfect addition to our crazy team.
Daniel started out up in the stands for some epic field shots while the rest of us communicated with our couple so they didn't feel so far away. The result...PRETTY SWEET if you ask me.
ENGAGEMENT TIP: Why not show some team spirit and wear your teams gear. I love that Kaitlin and Tony committed to the team attire. They were in the stadium and seriously rocked their jerseys. Especially Ohioans, we love to love our city and our teams. So be proud and wear that gear.
ENGAGEMENT TIP: Bring a prop that fits with your shoot. Normally, bringing signs and letters work just great but when you can add something else it is so much fun. Kaitlin and Tony decided to get an OSU football and write their initials as well as their wedding date.
Something so simple can add so much to your shoot. Loving their football!
Kaitlin and Tony were so much fun to spend time with. They continued to laugh and told us fun facts about the stadium and the team. They seriously were cracking us up the entire time and down for any idea we came up with...and we came up with a million (being in an awesome empty stadium).
We got super lucky and the sun hid away while we were shooting. These photos are too awesome!
ENGAGEMENT TIP: Bringing an extra change of clothes or something simple to throw over what you are wearing can change up the shoot just enough and not make you have to head to the bathroom to change.
While shooting we headed to where the team enters the field and found some inspirations. Written on the wall is OUR HONOR DEFEND and there is an added surprise was the awesome O on the ceiling!!
These next few photos our couple got to do the famous O H - I O, be epic super fans on the field, and simply used the field to play some ball. It's always so much fun when we get to see the personalities and it's great to see them really open up and have a blast together.
Kaitlin and Tony decided to extend their mini session into a full 1.5 hr. session because they planned on including their fur baby Scarlett. Being that we couldn't have the puppy in the stadium their parents brought her after we had finished in the stadium.
ENGAGEMENT TIP: if you planned on bringing your fur baby but know that you aren't allowed to bring your pet, have a family member bring them towards the end so you can still get those shots but not break any rules! This is also great because pups can get restless so just bringing them in when they are needed can help keep them calm.
ENGAGEMENT TIP: BRING TREATS. I was able to keep Scarlett's attention with treats while Daniel snapped the photos.
ENGAGEMENT TIP: Dress up your pet to match your shoot. I love Scarlett's bandana. Super simple but super cute!

To finish up their shoot we headed to Mirror Lake (like any true OSU fan) for some dressier photos. I think it was a fantastic idea for them to have variety. I love these closer and snuggly poses and the evident love between them. We can't wait to shoot your wedding at the zoo in October!
