Colleen and Michael are seriously the sweetest couple. They had been engaged for only 2 months when we met up with them to talk about their wedding vision. Now they may have only been engaged 2 months but had been together 9+ years! I love an epic love story and they did not disappoint. They are avid travelers and Michael actually proposed while they were in Singapore. They were in an orchid garden when he popped the question and the answer was a resounding yes! I can't even imagine how amazing that orchid garden looked! LOVE!
We showed up to The Franklin Park Conservatory a little early to find all the best spots before they showed up. We were taking photos the same day as Kaitlin and Tony so as the sun hid behind the clouds it did cool down a bit but knowing anything about great lighting this was the day. The beautiful overcast light is great! Photographers love a cloudy day! So, despite the chilly weather they put their game faces on and rocked out their session.
Colleen and Michael were so easy to take photos of, they melded together in their photos so well...I guess that makes sense knowing they have been together for 9+ years. I would feel super comfortable with my significant other if we had been together that long!
Vivien suggested shooting in this little path so the group headed into this little wooded area for photos while I headed out to search for more photo ideas. When I came back Colleen was looking like royalty and I got super excited to shoot her photos on her wedding day. Colleen your bridals are going to be gorgeous!!!!
I don't know if everyone knows this, but with Brett Loves Elle Photography, we have two teams. So, on your wedding day if we aren't both booked chances are you will get all four of us. As a special bonus, we show up for all of our couples engagement sessions. We love to keep our skills fresh and we honestly love being at every shoot we possibly can. With this, chances are you get a bunch of awesome angle for one shot. We have the ability to almost be in four places at once! It's really too much fun.
These next photos are some of my favorites!
Vivien seriously rocked out the photo above!
Seeing as how it was it was mid-April. Finding some pops of color proved to be harder than anticipated. Especially outside the conservatory. Loving these romantic shots!
I'm so happy Colleen had so much fun being twirled that she even requested to be twirled in her wedding dress on her wedding day! It is going to look fantastic. Isn't she just stunning.
These are also my favorites from the session, the Conservatory looks so pretty as the backdrop to these photos. We have 1 day till your wedding!! Cannot wait for Sunday to come.
