Now, this couple has already had their wedding...that should just tell you a little about how far behind I am with my blogs. But, that just means I get to gush about them twice! We decided on a Park of Roses engagement mini because Brittany really wanted the spring look. Turns out, the roses don't actually bloom until well now! So we were a little early...but not too early when it came to these beautiful white flower trees!
The team showed up about a half hour to forty-five minutes early because we wanted to make sure we had a plan for their shoot. We are so glad we did because there were tons of people in the park and a ton of photographers. We didn't want to be in anyones way or have them in our way. That's exactly why we picked the very back of the park and couldn't be happier with the results. It turned out to be a quiet session, but oh so fun! We even got to climb a few things!
Daniel had so much fun climbing on this trellis for some super cute photos of Brittany + Adam.
Turns out these flowering trees really attract bees but Brittany and Adam were completely fine the entire time and the bees stayed away!
Love the simple walking shots to get out couples comfortable with us and being photographed. Brittany and Adam did such a great job! You can tell that as the session progressed they just kept becoming more and more comfortable with us and with each other (with a camera snapping every moment). These two really do have a goofy side and I'm so happy to have seen it.
ENGAGEMENT TIP: This isn't quite a tip but more so something we do at Brett Loves Elle Photography. We love to give complementary engagement mini's. This way our couples get a taste of what it will be like on their wedding day. Adam even told us how thankful he was for this session! He was so comfortable with us on his wedding day, that just makes it worth it for us!
We had them come at the perfect time and I was so happy they were wearing blue!
ENGAGEMENT TIP: Always remember the season you are having your engagement session. For Brittany and Adam there was a lot of green so they wore a color that would look great with a ton of green around them!
The Park of Roses seriously has so many really cool and hidden gems!
Here's where the fun part for me comes! I got to get on Brett's shoulders to get some sweet photos of this couple. Adam is just so tall! We put the in the tree and they crushed these shots.
To finish our awesome session, we found a super cool path on the side of the park. It was empty of people and the perfect place to catch the sun setting. By this time, Brittany and Adam were coming up with fun ideas and just all around down for anything. We even got them to try out the Notebook pose. I think they did fantastic and their photos are to die for.
