Laura had been texting me all week trying to figure out the best outfit and to make sure it wasn't going to rain on her engagement shoot. Because we do live in Ohio, we did have to reschedule the shoot for the following week. But when it was time for their shot the second time...the weather was PERFECT. Not only the weather but the season! I love Schiller Park in the Spring time! It had been kind of rainy lately so when we showed up on one of the only sunny days, everyone was out for a stroll in the park. But it was too beautiful to care!
Laura and Will were easy to spot...they were the ones with giant grins on their faces and they were waving at us. I liked them already. While we headed towards the water Daniel (being the hopeless romantic) is always the one to ask the couple about how they met. Laura and Will literally live 7.1 miles from front door to front door (I even looked it up to see). They were actually showing pigs at the Ross County Fair. Turns out their parent have had camping spots since they were little kids!!
ENGAGEMENT TIP: get a blowout!! Laura got a simple blowout, she felt and looked awesome!!! Plus sometimes it's nice to pamper yourself as well.
Who doesn't love an awesome outfit change? Can you even believe that they were nervous about not knowing what to do? They look so natural!
ENGAGEMENT TIP: wearing a casual outfit first can be a good idea so you feel comfortable with what you are wearing and get more comfortable with your photographers right off the bat!
ENGAGEMENT TIP: bringing a second dressier outfit can really change up your photo shoot and add a little variety to your photos. If you have the time, it's a fun idea.
The team of Brett Loves Elle Photography is so excited to be heading a ways out into the country...so far into the country that when Daniel and I had gone to visit the church they are getting married at...it took us to a random field miles from the actual church. I had to call Laura and tell her where we were and she directed us the right way! It was a fun time. I was super thankful that Laura knew every road around her house!
I think we really had some bonding moment getting lost in their neck of the woods and driving to their reception location together. They know EVERYTHING about where they live. Sitting in the car with them for about a half hour gave us enough time to learn about Laura's time in London, learned about the Ohio Seal being near their houses, fun fact: you can see Laura's house from the church they are getting married at, and even learned about The Ross County Fair (basically it's impossible to get a camping site)! This couple is seriously a blast to hang out with, so much so that you feel like you've known them forever.
