When we first met Cheryl and Lisa they talked about what sounded like the COOLEST location for an engagement shoot. The Columbus Cultural Arts Center! Now, if you have heard of it you probably know is right across the street from Bicentennial Park. I have been to Bicentennial a million times and saw the building but I never actually knew what it was. It wasn't until they told us about an ivy wall I knew what they were talking about. I've seen so many photos by that wall and always wondered where it was! I FINALLY KNEW!
Their session was another one where we shot it only a week before their wedding. Cheryl and Lisa are getting married today!!! We couldn't be more excited to head to North Bank for an amazing wedding!
We showed up to the Cultural Arts Center and saw Cheryl and Lisa waiting in anticipation! They might have had a little bit of nerves...but we headed through the iron gates and felt transported into a secret garden. It was so perfect and secluded from the rest of the busy city happening around it. I absolutely loved it instantly!
This location just made sense for these two! It was artsy, outdoorsy, secluded, whimsical, and private. It had the makings of a perfect engagement location.
Once we got started all their nervousness seemed to melt off. Lisa has that wonderful infection smile that draws Cheryl in and they look simply adorable and so in love. You can definitely tell they've been together for awhile...10 years to be exact!
We bought our rings together and gave them to each other separately in our own unique way.
- Cheryl gave Lisa her ring at Franklin Park Conservatory outside during the winter at a light exhibit.
- Lisa gave Cheryl her ring flying to Florida with a video playing our favorite song "So High" by John Legend.
I simply LOVE LOVE LOVE that they both decided to give each other rings and have the sweetest proposal stories. Soon...they will be reading and exchanging those rings one last time before they spend the rest of their lives together as wives. Today is going to be amazing!!
CONGRATS TO CHERYL AND LISA!
See you two later today! We can't wait to celebrate with all your closest friends and family for such a wonderful celebration.
