TORI + RYAN | THE SHOE, SCIOTO MILE, GERMAN VILLAGE ENGAGEMENT SESSION | COLUMBUS OHIO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS
We met Tori & Ryan in the front of OSU Stadium...the day they were having orientation for ushers. First win for the day. There were a few people heading inside while we were taking photos but we made it work! My favorite part was when Brutus was in front and Tori literally called him over and made him take a photo with them! She is fearless. Since they had a three hour session we had a lot of time for different locations and different outfits...there was even a hair change! How often does that happen at an engagement session???
Why not change your clothes and your hair?
We headed to Scioto Mile for a few more casual shots then a quick car change for a dressier outfit before heading back to Tori & Ryan's house to meet her hairdresser for a hair change. She thought she was being a diva but I WAS IN LOVE WITH THE IDEA! How often can you have two hair styles the same day for a shoot? Why not? We then finished their session with their cute pup and a stroll through German Village near their house. It was so fun to take a tour of their engagement story, from their house to Fetch Park to Curio (they were closed - second fail of the day) but it was seriously a blast! Can't wait for your wedding day!
AND Brutus makes his appearance!
Ryan and I both grew up in Zanesville, OH, but never knew one another. We would soon find we had a lot in common, including our love for craft beer, and that’s where it all started.
Ryan and I met at 2015 summer Beerfest. My good girlfriend happened to know his brother in-law and saw him at the event. Ryan and I began talking and soon discovered we both worked in the world of development and fundraising. While I stayed local and work in higher education, Ryan was a consultant and traveled away from Columbus for weeks at a time. He gave me his number and asked me to text him. We traded frequent texts for weeks and learned a lot about each other, but had to wait more than a month before we went on our first date due to his travel. It was worth it.
We met at Bar 145 to have a few drinks on the patio and talk. The date ended up lasting 4 hours, and we agreed we could have sat there longer. Ryan was home for a week at that time, and we went on several dates. It was September 12th at an OSU game that we realized we were falling pretty hard for one another. Because Ryan had a secondary residence in Buffalo, NY for work, we would see one another every two or three weekends. That soon turned into every other weekend, then every weekend. Ryan was amazing and took on most of the traveling.
Ryan proposed right behind that bench!
Where they celebrated their engagement!
