HALLIE + CHRIS | WEDDING DAY PREVIEWS | WELLS BARN, FRANKLIN PARK CONSERVATORY, COLUMBUS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
I had just visited Wells Barn for Hallie & Chris's walkthrough Wednesday so I was pretty excited to be heading to Franklin Park for their actual wedding! When I met Hallie at the barn she was rocking the coolest Birks (as was her brother) and she complimented the compost. I knew I was going to like her! From her bouquets, that she wanted to look as though they were picked from her mothers garden, to her bridesmaids wearing vintage floral dresses that they got to pick the pattern. I was in love with her day. It was stunning!
HER BRIDESMAIDS TRULY WERE THE FLOWERS IN THE GARDEN!
Rain or shine Hallie wanted her ceremony in the garden and it was totally worth it! We had photos outside until it rained then we hid away in the little barn waiting it out. BUT, those storm clouds weren't going to keep Hallie & Chris inside! I think it's my absolute favorite when our couples decide to go out in the rain or on stormy days. I think they are the BEST pictures...with some pretty sweet memories too!
THE ENGAGEMENT STORY
WEDDING DAY PREVIEWS
THE FIRST LOOK
I loved their simple card reading before their First Look. They even had their Maid of Honor and Best Man deliver them to on another.
Dear Mr. Bear
It was so fun to have our couple incorporate their bridal party into their frist look.
I even sacrificed my sleeve for those big beautiful tears <3
BRIDE & GROOM
THE BEGINNING OF THEIR LOVE STORY
In June 2012, Hallie and Chris graduated from Ohio State, and, knowing their student job was now time-limited, they felt a little more at ease spending time together at work during the day. Unbeknownst to Hallie, Chris had been planning on asking her out, but claims she kept "running away" after work - in reality just booking it out of the office to go home and get in sweatpants...
Then, one fateful weekend, Hallie went up to Mentor for a perch-fishing outing on Lake Erie with her brother, dad, and uncles. Not having Chris' number, Hallie resorted to facebook to ask him out, mentioning that she would be back Sunday after the fishing trip. Chris jumped on the offer and expressed his jealousy about her fishing exploits. That Sunday, they had their first date at The Tip-Top in downtown Columbus, trading stories over redesigned American food and thoroughly enjoying each other's company. Very shortly thereafter, after a few more dates and getting to meet the family corgi, Hallie and Chris decided to be a couple, and the rest is history!
Since those first dates, their relationship has grown and matured despite Hallie being in medical school in Toledo, Ohio and Chris being in law school in Morgantown, West Virginia. They logged an incredible number of miles visiting each other back and forth, meeting in Columbus for holidays with their parents and the occasional Ohio State game. Most of their free time was spent in West Virginia, camping, traveling and enjoying Morgantown. Chris graduated from WVU Law School in May, 2016, and Hallie is going to graduate from medical school on May 26th, 2017 (three short weeks after their wedding!) From there, they'll be moving with their kitty Scully to wherever Hallie begins her residency, for bustling life to begin again as usual.
I honestly think raining wedding days are my FAVORITE
THE BRIDAL PARTY!
We got stranded inside for a bit but that didn't deter our lovely Bride
I love that these flowers caught a rainbow!
