BAILEY + PETE | GERMAN VILLAGE & PINS MECHANICAL ENGAGEMENT SESSION, COLUMBUS OHIO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS

BAILEY + PETE | GERMAN VILLAGE & PINS MECHANICAL ENGAGEMENT SESSION, COLUMBUS OHIO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

I was thrilled when Bailey said she wanted to start at Fetch Park in German Village and end at Pins Mechanical. I have been dying to shoot there for months now!! She simply made my dreams come true. When they showed up, they were looking FANTASTIC! It was so much fun wandering around the streets of German Village jumping from one cool spot to the next. Bailey and Pete were owning any pose we threw at them. IT WAS SO AWESOME!

FIRE ESCAPES AND THROWING LEAVES

It's always a great day when we can add fun elements to our shoot...so, when I got the idea to throw little yellow leaves, even Brett wanted in! I mean throw leaves like confetti and laugh until our stomaches hurt. Sounds perfect! We had so much fun! Fetch Park at golden hour really is to die for. Whoever is in charge of the grounds is doing a FABULOUS job.

Once we finished at Fetch Park, Bailey and Pete headed home to change before meeting us at Pins. If you have never been...GO! This place has literally EVERYTHING!!! We parked across the street and were walking over when we got totally distracted by the coolest fire escape. It was a fun pit stop before chasing the sunset before our couple grabbed some drinks. We had so much fun with this couple hearing their love story and sharing proposals! Can't wait for your WEDDING DAY!!

THE PROPOSAL

I had been hiding the ring for 3 weeks. Family is important to both of us and I knew I wanted to talk with Bailey’s Dad before I proposed. We spent Christmas with her family and I was able to sneak in some time to ask her Dad for his blessing. The day after getting her Dad’s blessing, I was so excited I didn’t want to wait any longer. I ended up proposing at home the next day.

HOW THEY MET

Pete and I both went to Marietta College. We met during Pete’s senior year and my freshman year in 2012. We met at a local bar in Marietta called the Townhouse. I was with a group of my friends when Pete came up to me and asked me, “Do you have any raisins.” Confused I looked at Pete and said “No?” He then asked, “How ‘bout a date?” That cheesy pick up line was the start of our love story.

We started dating shortly after we met. Pete graduated a couple weeks later and we did long distance for 3 years until I graduated in 2015. Distance was really hard, but it made our relationship grow stronger. It made us appreciate each other and any time we had together. Here we are over five years later about to start a new chapter of our lives as Mr. and Mrs.

The thing I love most about Pete is that he still continues to use those cheesy pick up lines on me. He makes me laugh and smile every single day. He’s my best friend and I can’t imagine my life without him.

Bailey is a beautiful person inside and out. She is very passionate about everything she does and she makes me want to be the best person I can be. She makes me so happy and I can’t wait to spend forever with her.
